Speed Systems Semi-Con Scorer

The 1800 Series Adjustable Blade Scorers (1800-SS shown) have adjustable blade depth for scoring (scribing) the semi-conductive shield of medium voltage cable so the semi-con can be removed without nicking or damaging the cable insulation. The tool switches between the square and spiral cutting functions without removing it from the cable. Leaf springs maintain constant pressure during operation. 1800SSLC scorer can be used to make square cuts and spiral cuts, has a dial locking set screw and a saddle relief for close-in cuts.

  • Square, and spiral cut
  • Scores (scribes) semi-con without damage to insulation
  • Blade depth is adjustable from 0.001" to 0.100".
  • Coil springs maintain constant pressure during operation
  • For cables with outer diameter (O.D.) from 1-3/4" to 3" (44.5 - 76.2 mm).
